The School Academic year starts  in April and ends in March of the following year.

Age requirements - 

The minimum age for the admission to different level as on 15 April 2010 is as follows:

KG I     3 years     

 KG. II   4 years

 Std. I   5 years

Std. 2    6 years 

Std. 3    7 years

* Add one year for every subsequent grade.

1.      REGISTRATION  FORMS :- 

*   Registration forms for admission, may be downloaded from the website or may be obtained from the school office on any working day during school hours from 12/01/2010.

*     Limited seats are available in all the classes.

*   For admission to K.G.-1 classes preference will be given to those who have attended nursery classes, to be submitted with proof.

*    Kindly note, No telephone calls are being entertained in this regard till 12/01/2010. 

 

2.      SUBMISSION  OF  REGISTRATION  FORMS :-  Forms available on school website or in school office to be duly filled & submitted on 20th,21st & 24th  January 2010 between 8 am to 12 noon, 1 pm to 3 pm with Passport Copy of student and father (sponsor).

 

3.      DRAW :- All those who will submitt Registration Forms for classes KG 1 & STD 1,  STD II to VIII both Boys and Girls. Kindly report for draw on 29th January 2010.

 

TIMING FOR DRAW :-    KG I & STD I                   -             8.00 am 

  On 29th January 2010       STD II  to STD VIII          -           10.30 am

4.      ENTRANCE TEST FOR CLASS XI

a.      DATE   FOR  TEST :-               27-01-2010   -    Maths   -   1.00 pm  To 4.00 pm

b.      RESULT OF CLASS XI :-   Entrance Test Result will be declared on 21-02-2010

GUIDELINES TO THE PARENTS FOR REGISTRATION OF NEW ADMISSION

FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2010-2011

 

        Interview & Checklist for Admission  

On the day of your child’s interview, following documents should be submitted to the   

admission incharge, which should be arranged in the following order:

i)    Admission form duly filled in and signed.

ii)   Two recent passport size photographs.

          iii) Photocopy of passport with valid visa page of the applicant and the sponsor    

          iv) Birth Certificate : Photocopy of the birth certificate duly attested by the competent                          authority & countersigned by  U.A.E. Embassy / Consulate.  

                 The birth certificate should be in Arabic or English. If it is in some other language                                 the same  should be legally translated in Arabic or English, and then the legal                               translation should be attested by the Ministry of Justice, Indian Embassy & Foreign                            Affaires.

             v) Transfer Certificate and Progress Report:

a.     If the applicant is coming from India/abroad, transfer certificate should be attested by the competent educational authority of the state in India (Dist. Edn. Off.,  A.E.O. or Inspector of Schools) & attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India / abroad and countersigned by U.A.E. Embassy / Consulate in India / abroad.

b.     The admission of a candidate should be finalized within 15 days from the date of issue of Transfer Certificate  (if within U.A.E.)  and within one month from date of issue of Transfer Certificate (if from India or abroad).

c.     Photocopy of Progress Report.

          Additional information

          *  Registration is NO GUARANTEE for admission.

*  All admissions are subject to the approval of Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi.

*  No relaxation in age will be considered for admission to KG I and Grade 1,             

    unless it is approved by Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi.

          * The minimum age for admission to KG-1 is 3 years, Std. I is 5 years

              and so on, completed as on 15th April 2010.

 

PAYMENT

·        The parents are advised to pay the fees of their child immediately after the 

             interview to finalise the admission.

·        School fees should be paid by crossed cheque or demand draft of any bank at Abu Dhabi branch in favour of ABU DHABI INDIAN SCHOOL. Post dated cheques should not be presented. No Cash will be accepted for school fees.  School Account’s counter closes at 3.15 p.m. on all working days.

·        FEES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2010-2011 WILL BE INTIMATED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NEW ADMISSIONS (2010-2011)

 

1.      SCHOOL UNIFORM

 

Girls : Navy blue skirt, Cream colour shirt with school emblem, scarf with lining blue & white, white socks, plain black shoes, navy blue cardigan (in winter).

 

Boys : Navy blue short / pant, cream colour shirt with school emblem, tie with blue & white stripes, white socks and black plain shoes. Navy blue V-neck sweater (in winter).

School uniform is available at various departmental stores in Abu Dhabi.

 

FOR GAMES AND P.T.:

 

Girls : School uniform & House colour T-shirts with all purpose game shoes with white sole. Hair Ribbons or hairnets if used, must be navy blue. Hair should be kept in a neat style. Jewellery is not permitted to be worn with the school uniform.

 

Boys : House colour T-Shirts with all purpose game shoes with white sole.

 

2.      SCHOOL HOURS

      School for the new academic year commences on 11.04.2010

 

School runs five days a week. Fridays and Saturdays are holidays.

KG children                  :           8.30 a.m. to 12.40 p.m.

Girls & Boys of Std. I   :           7.30 a.m. to   2.15 p.m.

Girls of Std. II to XII    :           7.30 a.m. to   2.15 p.m.

Boys of Std. II to VIII  :           8.30 a.m. to   3.15 p.m.

Boys of Std. IX to XII  :           9.30 a.m. to   4.15 p.m.

 

3.      SCHOOL FEES

a.   The school fee for the year is collected in four quarterly installments.

      KG to XII

      Ist quarter                     :           April  - June (with annual dues)

      IInd quarter                  :           July – September

      IIIrd quarter                 :           October – December

      IVth quarter                  :           January – March

 

b.   Fee should be paid before the 15th of the 1st month of the quarter, after which school  

      authorities will be forced to take appropriate action.

 

4.      DISTRIBUTION OF TEXT BOOKS & NOTE BOOKS

5.      WITHDRAWALS

Notice to withdraw a pupil from the school must be given in writing in the prescribed form available with the admission clerk a month in advance. The school leaving certificate will be issued only on payment of all school dues.

 

6.      SCHOOL BUS SERVICE

      School provides transport facility on selected routes, which will be on availability of seats   in the bus.

 

7.   All parents seeking admission are required to submit the medical certificate of their         child regarding diabeties, anaemia and thalassaemia .

      Immunisation record, copy of the health insurance & health card to be completed           by        the parent.
